Inspection and Monitoring of post‐tensioned bridges – advantages of electrically isolated tendons (EIT)

چکیده

Abstract Problems in existing post‐tensioning structures with metallic ducts occur mainly related to corrosion of the tendons due chloride ingress at “weak points” structure. Despite this PT technology overall can be considered as proven and successful, sometimes severe damages collapses without warning are reported. As none inspection monitoring methods allows a complete meaningful evaluation structures, owners engineers face uncertainty regarding safety durability post‐tensioned ducts. The situation changed introduction corrugated polymer electrically isolated anchorages (EIT) civil engineering practice about 25 years ago. Polymer prevent aggressive substances into electrical isolation simple, hand‐held instrumentation over whole service life. Based on many results from laboratory field It is concluded that EIT smart structure not necessitating additional sensors. For first time most important structural elements, tendons, easily monitored initiation damage detected early.

Automated Robotic Monitoring and Inspection of Steel Structures and Bridges

This paper presents visual and 3D structure inspection for steel structures and bridges using a developed climbing robot. The robot can move freely on a steel surface, carry sensors, collect data and then send to the ground station in real time for monitoring as well as further processing. Steel surface image stitching and 3D map building are conducted to provide a current condition of the stru...

postnatal studies of bats (pipistrellus kuhlii and miniopterus schreibersii) & histomorphology and histochemistry studies of organs and diseases of (neurergus microspilotus and n. kaiseri)

1. to determine whether difference in birth body mass influenced growth performance in pipistrellus kuhlii we studied a total of 12 captive-born neonates. bats were assigned to two body mass groups: light birth body mass (lbw: 0.89 ± 0.05, n=8) and heavy birth body mass (hbw: 1.35 ± 0.08, n=4). heavier body mass at birth was associated with rapid postnatal growth (body mass and forearm length) ...
